THE BRAND

The Magic Attic Art Co. is all about bright, beautiful colors and patterns, vintage imagery, and keeping items out of the landfill.

The jewelry I make is lightweight, light-hearted, and just for fun. I tap into trends, but I also love an unusual and gorgeous color combination, healing crystals, anything with an edge of '80s pop or punk, and found items. I try to keep things out of the trash by clever, fun re-purposing. I love finding things that might otherwise be thrown away that can be used to make art, jewelry or junk journals.

My photography is sometimes digital, sometimes film (plastic cameras are a favorite). I love anything that speaks of an earlier era. From the photos, I create high resolution digital files for you to instantly download upon payment. You can go from deciding to framing in minutes! I will also offer prints in various sizes for shipping soon.

My art could be anything from sketches to acrylic paintings to collages and will also be available at first as digital downloads, and eventually as prints or canvases able to be shipped.

THE ARTIST

I took up photography in 2006 as an idle hobby that eventually became a passion as I found more and more to document and got better at composition and color.

In 2008, I was one of the winners of the Columbus Association of the Performing Arts (CAPA) contest for members of Flickr Columbus. My photo was chosen among a number of others of the CAPA venues around the city (The Lincoln Theatre, the Palace, the Ohio, the Southern).

In March 2023, I was one of 29 artists chosen for a juried exhibition at Studios On High Gallery. My photo, "Shipping and Receiving," was exhibited at the gallery throughout the month and sold before the exhibit ended.

Later, in October of 2023, my photo "At Sunset" was chosen by a jury for the biennial Art For Life Auction & Fundraiser at the Columbus Museum of Art. I was one of 100 artists, including Gavin Benjamin, Caitlin Fairchild, Kathy Watts, and Kendric Tonn, to have their work hang on the walls of the Columbus Museum of Art for the week before and during the event.
