Citron Chrysoprase

Citron Chrysoprase is a gorgeous light green stone. If you're familiar with the Crayon color "Spring Green," it is exactly that color.

The color is one of my favorites, which is why I noticed the small bin of them in Pearls of Wisdom way back in the very early '90s. I bought one for under a dollar and admired the color every time I looked at it.

Pearls of Wisdom is a crystal shop in Columbus, Ohio that opened in 1988. It's been my favorite of the crystal shops in town since it opened; there's a sacred, calming vibe the moment you walk in. Over the years, I have bought a king's ransom in crystals of every possible kind there, and a while back, I even achieved a long time wish and worked there for a little over two years. I buy every crystal I use in my jewelry and art from there. You can trust the authenticity of their crystals and the ethical provenance.

I took the picture while sorting the Citron Chrysoprase (or just Citron) at work there, on a day when I coincidentally wore my own ring with a Citron moon. I adore that ring. I love the light color with the slightly darker veins running through it. To me it looks and feels like a pretty little piece of candy.

Citron is a heart chakra stone, meaning it vibrates to that frequency and can help you clear and open your heart chakra by carrying it, wearing it close to your heart, or meditating with it.
