Personal Projects

There is much in store this year for The Magic Attic Art Company, but there are a lot of personal projects too. Since I hold to the concept of "moving in silence," I won't share too much, but I will share a little now and more once they're done!

I am redoing my bedroom and to that end, I bought a 36" by 48" canvas for that big wide open space above the bed. It will be an abstract in jewel tones and gold. I'll be brushing up, no pun intended, on plotting out abstracts beforehand, and then going to town on the colors. This canvas is so big that I might add a bit of "paint by numbers" numbering to the spaces once plotted.
I've also got a smaller painting planned for over the mantel this March; a canvas with a shamrock in all shades of green, bounded in a outline by silver-lined green beads glued to the canvas. It's an experiment. We'll see how it goes.
I've also made a number of lanyards for work, beaded ones. I broke the winter one about a week in and need to redo it, and there's a spring pastel one and an all green St. Pat's one for March, too.
One of my very oldest projects I've made and sold is protection stretch bracelets. I made one for myself and after three years of wear, the elastic gave, so I redid it as a bracelet with a toggle clasp and really like it. It's been years since I made protection bracelets, and I still have all of the supplies. I'm considering making a fresh batch for the site. If you're interested, hit the Contact page or the form at the bottom of this one.
On a personal note, as I write this, January 10, 2026, it is the tenth anniversary of David Bowie's death. I thought the world of him. He even turned his death into art. (Blackstar) I can't believe it's been ten years. which of course, means this year will bring the ten year anniversaries of other deaths, including Prince, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, and George Michael.
