Western Lanes Bowling Alley
Columbus, Ohio, May 2008
Like many places I've taken photos of, the bowling alley no longer exists in this form.
It was taken with a Holga 120BC, a plastic toy camera that has its own photography subculture. Many of my photos here for download were taken with a Holga 120BC (square format 120 film) or a Holga 135 BC (rectangular format, takes 35mm film).
The Holga lends a sometimes eerie, sometimes nostalgic aura to a photo, along with its signature vignetted black corners.
