I love anything that glows as if lit from within and I adore kitsch. Glow in the dark things are so much fun for me, and are lighthearted fun in a very summery way.
 
So I've made these 18" necklaces that really glow. The pendants (20mm by 20mm or just over three quarters of an inch around) have colorful galaxy pictures inside a clear glass ball when the lights are on and when they're off, the galaxy pictures glow in the dark.
 
The beads, matched to the colors of each pendant, glow in their own way. They don't glow in the dark, but they are silver-lined jewel tone 4mm beads, so they glow as though lit from within in turquoise, red, purple, green, and blue, depending on the necklace. While they are a little kitschy, you will ooh and aah over them.
 
Blues - slate blue and turquoise beads; blue galaxy pendant.
