Back in the '80s & '90s, we started gluing posts to or stringing hooks through toys, full size playing cards, guitar picks, or any other damn thing we wanted to wear as earrings (or just stuck a safety pin in).  I'm proud to carry on that tradition with my own Magic Attic earrings.
 
Post glued to back of toy very firmly and securely. You could maybe bite it off but I wouldn't recommend it. You're unlikely to get them off any other way.

These Manta Ray toy earrings are lightweight, 2 inches long (long tail!) and one inch wide. They are perfect for summer, for kids, for women, for men. Much like their real life counterparts, they do not sting.
 
Full disclosure: the lady at the toy store told me that these are not, in fact, Manta Rays, but Cownose Rays. I thought if I put "Cownose Ray" in the title, no one would know what they were.
