The Melody Drive In Theater
4025 E National Rd.
Springfield, OH 45505
Torn down in 2016, I think, for a housing development that carries on its name, Melody Parks. At least they saved the sign. It was actually "The Melody Cruise In."
NOTE: The gray border is a screenshot to enable you to see the entire photo clearly. It does not appear in the file you receive.
It was taken with a Holga 120BC, a plastic toy camera that has its own photography subculture. Many of my photos here for download were taken with a Holga 120BC (square format 120 film) or a Holga 135 BC (rectangular format, takes 35mm film).
The Holga lends a sometimes eerie, sometimes nostalgic aura to a photo, along with its signature vignetted black corners.
