The Towne Manor Motel in Canton, Ohio circa 2009. Sadly, as with so many of the places I took photos of, this sign no longer exists in this same form.
It was taken with a Holga 120BC, a plastic toy camera that has its own photography subculture. Many of my photos here for download were taken with a Holga 120BC (square format 120 film) or a Holga 135 BC (rectangular format, takes 35mm film).
The Holga lends a sometimes eerie, sometimes nostalgic aura to a photo, along with its signature vignetted black corners.
