A few days after I saw the pink Chevy Bel Air, I saw this black version and pulled into the lot for pictures of it. It is of course, nowhere near as well cared for as the pink one. That one was a pampered princess; this one lived the life of a working stiff. It is no less a work of art. These cars were just plain good design in terms of aesthetics.
I hope that in the intervening years, this one has been shown some love and care and is back in fine shape.
This photo of a beautiful black vintage Chevy would make an ideal photo for a car person or anyone you know who owns a garage, a bar, or collects vintage cars, or well ... vintage anything!
It was taken with a Holga 120BC, a plastic toy camera that has its own photography subculture. Many of my photos here for download were taken with a Holga 120BC (square format 120 film) or a Holga 135 BC (rectangular format, takes 35mm film).
The Holga lends a sometimes eerie, sometimes nostalgic aura to a photo, along with its signature vignetted black corners.
